Black Rap
Black Rap was originally found in 1968 by African American Student Leaders at Lake Forest College who worked towards a culturally diverse paradigm through their advocacy for change, focusing on local, national and international injustices around the peak of the Civil Rights movement. In 2020, thirty-three years later, Black Rap was relaunched by a new generation of students as a publication that aims to empower, educate and uplift every individual. This publication features commentary, perspective, and analysis on various topics including but not limited to; identity, culture, arts, study abroad, health, activism, diversity and inclusion, global perspectives and politics. It also features spotlight interviews of Lake Forest College Alumni, political youth, guest features, and mental health resources.
